Four-times World Rally Champion Kankkunen has driven a slightly modified Bentley Continental GT very fast on frozen water.

The previous record stood at 184.14mph, set by a Bugatti EB110 Supersport. Modifications to the Continental GT were kept to a minimum. A rollcage and Nokian snow tyres were fitted for safety. Various aerodynamic tweaks were also made, but the powertrain was essentially untouched, although the car ran non-standard fuel with matching calibration to cope with the extreme temperatures.
